The Money Matters course was originally designed as a fully instructor-led experience. The blueprint reflects that initial structure.
During development, I identified an opportunity to strengthen the learning experience by converting the first session into a self-paced eLearning module.
This decision was not driven by format preference, but by learner need. The opening session introduces stewardship and biblical application—topics that can feel personal and, at times, intimidating in a group setting. Allowing participants to engage with this content independently created space for reflection without social pressure, increasing the likelihood of honest engagement.
The revised approach was presented to program leadership and instructional stakeholders, including the course facilitator and subject matter expert, and was approved as a blended learning model.
